AFC Cup 2008 - India vs Turkmenistan
Bhaichung Bhutia brace helped India defeat Turkmenistan 2-1 in their last Group A
match played at Gachi Bowli Stadium ,Hyderabad on Sunday. Both the teams were tied
goalless at the half time. Captain Bhaichung Bhutia was once again instrumental in
India's win with his goals in 54th & 80th min .Bhutia scored the first goal when
Sunil Chhetri squared the ball to Bhutia and Turkeministan Keeper was caught on the
wrong foot.The second goal was from a pass through Renedy Singh .Substitute Forward
Orazmaedov Yusup reduced the margin in the 84th min.
In the second Group A match Tajikistan defeated Afghanistan 4-0 in the match played
simultaneously at LBS Stadium.For Tajikistan Abiev Yusuf scored a hattrick with his
goals in 14th, 44th & 56th min .Tukhtasunov accounted for the fourth goal in the
39th min.
India went ahead in the 53rd minute when Sunil Chettri squared the ball to the India
skipper whose shot took a deflection off a defender, wrong-footing goalkeeper
Maksatmyrat Shamuradov and trickling over the goalline.

LBS Stadium:DPR Korea Vs Myanmar at 6.30 PM
Gachi Bowli Stadium:Sri Lanka Vs Nepal 6.30 PM.
In the second match of the day Turkmenistan defeated Afghanistan 5-0.
